Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom Actor cost?
It depends on the target and the fields. After a short feasibility probe we send a fixed quote for the build and a monthly figure for maintenance. You see both numbers before any work starts.
How long does a build take?
Most single-site Actors go from brief to cloud-verified handover in one to two weeks. Multi-site or login-gated targets take longer, and we say so in the quote rather than after.
Who owns the Actor?
You do. We can deploy it under your Apify account, or host it under ours as a private listing you alone can run. Source code is delivered on request.
What if the site blocks it later?
That is what maintenance is for. Every custom Actor sits on the same daily monitoring as our public fleet. When a run fails we reproduce it, fix the cause and re-verify it in the cloud, and you get a note explaining what changed.
Can you scrape sites behind a login or heavy anti-bot?
Often, yes. We probe first and tell you what is realistic, including cost per 1,000 rows, before quoting. Some targets are not worth it and we will tell you that too.
Do you scrape personal data?
We build for publicly available data and work within the target’s terms and applicable law. We will decline briefs that need credential sharing, bypassing paywalls or collecting personal data without a lawful basis.
