Maintenance first
A scraper is judged on day 90, not day 1. Every Actor is monitored daily and every breakage gets a root cause, a fix and a cloud re-test.
Bot-bypass, done properly
Browser-grade TLS fingerprints, proxy hygiene, session continuity, respectful pacing. We never quantify a target’s defences in public; we just handle them.
Honest numbers
Every statistic on this site is computed from the Apify API on a dated snapshot. If we have not measured it, we do not print it.
Public data, clean rows
We scrape publicly available data, validate every row against a schema, and decline briefs that need credentials, paywall bypass or unlawful personal-data collection.
Write it down
Every fix ships with a write-up. There are 185 of them on dev.to. Our customers can see the work; so can our future selves.
Fun, but professional
The name is a wink. The engineering is not. Enterprise buyers get the same dry competence as indie hackers.
A day in the fleet
- 06:00 Health sweep across all 205 Actors: run counts, failures, timeouts, zero-row successes.
- Morning Triage. Anything under 90% success or with repeat timeouts gets a reproduction and a root cause.
- Day Fixes ship behind local tests, then a real cloud run on the real target before we call it done.
- Evening Pricing, copy and docs corrected where the target changed. Write-up published.
